Jake Kelly gets Bronze in Junior Championships

Thomas Miller Investment sponsored rider Jake kelly, a member of Team Microgaming Isle of Man, won the bronze medal in the British Junior Road Race Championship over a gruelling 125km course near the Brecon Beacons, South wales on Sunday.

Jake finished just two seconds behind the winner, Sam Lowe, and just a tyres length behind 2nd place Sebastian Baylis. Jake road a great tactical race, sticking with the peleton until the first big climb at 60km where he made an attack on the leading group, along with several other riders. The race eventually came down to a nail biting 300m bunch sprint in the final stages.

Jake's medal continues the success of other Manx riders in recent years - Chris Nicholson won bronze in 2010 and Tim Kennaugh silver in 2009.  Mark Cavendish, the current World Road Race Champion, won silver in the 2003 British Junior Race.
