Isle of Man Funds visit Edinburgh and Glasgow - 28th and 29th April 2014

A delegation from the Isle of Man Funds Association ‘IOMFA’, in conjunction with the Isle of Man Governments Department of Economic Development, will be conducting a series of meeting and seminar events in Edinburgh and Glasgow on the above dates. Carolyn Gelling, Head of Collective Investment Funds at TMI and an elected Committee Member of the Isle of Man Funds Association will be participating in this Roadshow event.

The Isle of Man contingency will take this opportunity to meet with professional contacts in the two cities to discuss current solutions for fund establishment and ongoing operational services available across the IOMFA membership. Further, to consider how they may be able to work together to the benefit of existing and potential clients seeking a cost and tax efficient offshore solution which may - as appropriate – provide an alternative and/or complement AIFMD arrangements.
The Isle of Man team work with Lawyers, Accountants, Wealth Managers, Private Bankers, and Family Offices across the full range of offshore funds;  UCITS ‘type’ retail schemes  - professional schemes targeted at institutional investors – and exempt and private schemes, designed to meet the needs of closely held investment parties such as family offices and investors in private equity.
The team will be available for direct meetings during each day in order to discuss specific details, as may be relevant to specific client requirements. The team will also be hosting an evening cocktail event in each location,  at which they will provide a brief overview presentation on the overall economy of the Isle of Man, together with a summary of the range of fund services and the advantages offered to new fund arrangements, followed by a relaxed networking opportunity.
As a close neighbour of Scotland, the Isle of Man is readily accessible for communication links and offers competitive advantage in terms of cost, transparency and flexibility when measured against its offshore peers.

Should you wish to meet with the team or attend either of the evening events in Scotland, please contact Carolyn Gelling at TMI.

Please get in touch if you have any questions, our team would be happy to help.
