How did Grace perform at the Junior European Championship

Grace had a fantastic weekend out in Belgrade, Serbia competing at the Junior European Championships.

Her first event was the 1m Springboard where she put in some solid dives. As this is not an Olympic event, Grace was unable to spend as much time practising the dives. However, she finished a very credible 7th place and gave a good performance.

The following day she competed in the 3m Synchronised event with her new diving partner Chloe Hurd. They were leading the competition right through until the last dive where Grace just knocked the board on her reverse 2½ somersaults tuck as they dropped down to second. Their last dive was excellent and secured the Silver medal which they were both delighted to accept.

Grace returned to the diving board for her third event on Sunday, the 3m Springboard. Again, she had some superb dives and a strong performance collected another Silver!

Overall, the GB team picked up 2 Silver medals and 4 Bronze and we are very proud that the 2 Silver came from Grace! It really has been a roller coaster year for Grace so far and now that school exams and projects are over, Grace can concentrate on some serious training, the results of which are already speaking for themselves.
