Thomas Miller Investment to launch Onshore Private Client Business

Thomas Miller Investment, a member of the Thomas Miller Group of Companies, is launching a new private client business under the leadership of Harry Morgan, who joins the firm in May 2012 as head of private investment management.

Harry Morgan will oversee the creation of an onshore UK based private client investment business to complement Thomas Miller Investment’s existing private client operation in the Isle of Man. Until taking a study sabbatical in September 2011, Harry Morgan was head of investment management at Adam & Company having also held senior positions at Newton Investment Management and Edinburgh Fund Managers over a career spanning 27 years.

Part of the 127 year old Thomas Miller Group, Thomas Miller Investment, with funds under management of £2.7 billion, manages portfolios across a broad range of asset classes, delivering customised investment portfolios to both institutional and private clients.

Based in Edinburgh, Harry will lead a team to develop the business across the UK. He will work closely with Thomas Miller Investment’s 15 strong investment team utilising the company’s proven global research and risk management process. Thomas Miller Investment has had an investment office in Scotland since 2006, set up by Christopher Smith, formerly of Noble Grossart.

Further senior recruitments are planned to work with Harry Morgan. In addition, Charles Meaden and other members of the team will provide business development support from London.
