Grace makes a splash as her 2012 competition schedule is announced

Grace heads in to 2012 with a full competition schedule and a strong focus on Junior and Senior level events.

She performed well at the GB National Cup in Southend-on-Sea in January, collecting a Bronze in 3m and Silver in 3m synchro event. This was her first competition of the year and a hugely important event for Grace as she put in to practice four/five months of work. More recently, Grace competed at the G-Star Diving Champs at Leeds City Diving Club 16 – 18 March where she qualified in the 1m and 3m finals. Grace is now focussing on the Junior Elites in April being held in Plymouth.

Grace was invited to attend the opening of the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh on 20 March. This spectacular venue, her 'home ground', will host the diving competition during the 2014 Commonwealth Games. After a two-and-a-half year, £37.5 million refurbishment, this world class facility will welcome the GB swimming squad for their final training camp ahead of the 2012 Olympics in the new 50m eight lane pool. At the opening event, Grace was asked to perform a selection of dives and of course, was only happy to oblige!

The British Championships in June is another Olympic qualifying event and we hope Grace continues on her path to secure a Team GB diving place at the 2012 Olympics (places are secured – team to be confirmed).
