Edinburgh International Book Festival

For the second year,Thomas Miller Investment was one of the sponsors of the Edinburgh International Book Festival. This is the world's largest Book Festival, held in Charlotte Square Gardens opposite our office.  We entertained around 50 clients and friends of the firm at two events, both of which had a business theme yet proved to be highly entertaining.

The first event was the FT's Undercover Economist Tim Harford talking about his new book "The Undercover Economist Strikes Back".

The second event, held in the main 1000 seat venue, was the BBC's Business Editor Robert Peston presenting his views on the global economy and talking about his book "How Do We Fix This Mess?". He was in fine form.

The TMI team was very pleased when the Chair for the Peston event - Ian Fraser from the Sunday Herald - opened proceedings by  saying "I'd like to thank Thomas Miller for sponsoring the event this evening. I know them, I like them, and as far as I am concerned, they are the good guys in finance". It was very pleasing to have our sponsorship acknowledged in this way.

Please get in touch if you have any questions, our team would be happy to help.
